hey you and i went to go see the foo last night. it was a great show, which kinda surprised me.
the last time i saw the foo was in 2000, when they opened for the red hot chili peppers at assembly hall at the u of i. the foo was younger then, and dave grohl's idea of front man showmanship was using the work "fuck." not that cool. but the chili peppers were amazing (could anthony keidis be anything less that amazing?). leonard bernstein still owes me $20 for the foo fighters t shirt i bought him (which i think he only recently threw away). also in attendence was my standard crew from that year -- mr amd mrs spidey, and dunning. ah memories!
older, more charismatic guys took the stage this weekend. the set list was all songs i liked, and they paused in the middle to do a quieter acoustic set. very cool. and despite the fact that they are older and more mature, you could tell the guys were really having a lot of fun. it was obvious.
the only downer was the fact that they didnt play walking after you which is my favorite song by them. if they played the song, i would have forked over the cash for a tshirt. but you cant get everything you want in life.
good job guys. keep it up
